What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a technique in which practitioners insert fine needles into the skin to treat health problems. The needles may be manipulated manually or stimulated with small electrical currents (electroacupuncture). The earliest record of Acupuncture being used was as early as 3700 BC. Acupuncture works by helping to balance out the body's natural energy flow.
What is acupuncture used for?
We use Acupuncture in the clinic with Chiropractic adjustments and other physiotherapy treatments to help with a variety of musculoskeletal problems.  Some conditions treated are neck and back pain, headaches, sinus issues, nerve pain and numbness, neuropathy, sprains and strains, sports and auto injuries.  We have had great success in treating broken ribs with a special form of Acupuncture.  Shingles also respond favorably to Acupuncture treatment in conjunction with traditional medical treatments.
